The Premier Web Coating Conference

Fulfilling AIMCAL's goal of providing continuing education to the Industry, the AIMCAL Fall Technical Conference offers a global technical forum for the web coating industry. The conference is a must for any individual involved with web coating. Don't miss this opportunity to meet and exchange ideas that will enhance your technical and marketing base of knowledge.



Conference Highlights

  • Agenda covering the full spectrum of web coating and vacuum web coating. Concurrent tracks enable attendees to attend the sessions of most interest to them.

  • Outstanding industry social and networking opportunities. Designated meals and receptions included in conference registration fee: Reception Sunday Night and Monday Night, Lunch on Monday and Wednesday, Continental Breakfast on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Also includes Wednesday Night Farewell Reception with the presenting of the Matteucci Awards.
  • Optional events include a golf scramble tournament on Tuesday afternoon and a Scotch tasting event on Tuesday evening.

    General Conference Information
  • Attire: All attire is business casual. Ties are not required, or expected.
  • Registration: The conference is open to both members and non-members of AIMCAL. TableTop exhibits are available to AIMCAL members only. The registration desk will be open on Sunday, October 17 from 10:00AM to 7:00PM and will open again on Monday morning at 7:00AM. Your conference registration includes access to all conference functions including all sessions, receptions, and designated meals. Spouse fees cover all designated meals, and receptions, but does not include attendance at any conference sessions. Registration is required to participate in any aspect of the conference.

  • Hotel Reservations: Hotel reservations are to be made directly with the resort. Make sure that you reference the AIMCAL meeting in order to receive the negotiated rate of $142 per night (tax not included). Rooms are limited so we suggest that you make your reservations early.
    Cut-off date to receive the AIMCAL room rate is September 15, 2010. After that date, rooms are available at a space and prevailing rate basis.
  • Proceedings: Extended Abstracts, Papers and Presentations will be published prior to the conference and distributed at registration.
  • Short Courses: On Sunday afternoon there will be two Short Courses available for an additional registration fee. Presented by Dr. Charles Bishop and Dr. Kelly Robinson, details can be found below.

    The John Matteucci Technical Award
    John Matteucci was recognized around the world as a leader in the field of web coatings. His inspiration to both AIMCAL and the International Conferences on Vacuum Web Coating has led to a special monetary award being given to the authors of the best paper in each of the Web Coating and the Vacuum Web Coating tracks. The Matteucci Awards will be presented to the authors at Wednesday night's Farewell Reception.

    Dr. Bernard Henry Memorial 5k Run
    Join AIMCAL at 6:00 a.m. Tuesday Morning for this fun walk/run in memory of Dr. Bernard Henry. All proceeds will be donated to the Bernard Henry Scholarship Fund. Run departs from outside the lobby promptly at 6AM. Participation is $25 per individual. Corporate sponsorships are available for $250 by contacting the AIMCAL Office. All participants will receive a Dr. Bernard Henry Memorial 5k Fun Run Tee-shirt.

    John Reading Memorial Scotch Tasting
    Get together with fellow attendees on Tuesday from 6:00 - 7:00 p.m. in honor and memory of John Reading. Learn the origins of whisky and the different regions where they are produced, from Aron Silverman, friend and colleague of John from The Scotch Malt Whisky Society of America. (Click here for Aron's bio). Learn the process of malting, fermentation, distillation and blending. Learn why the casks are an integral part of the Scotch. Participation is $25 per individual and all proceeds will be donated to the Bernard Henry Scholarship Fund.
