- Registration: The conference is open to both members and non-members of AIMCAL. TableTop exhibits are available to AIMCAL members only. The registration desk will be open on Sunday, October 19 from 10:00AM to 7:00PM and will open again on Monday morning at 7:00AM. Your conference registration includes access to all conference functions including all sessions, receptions, and designated meals. Spouse fees cover all designated meals, and receptions, but does not include attendance at any conference sessions. Registration is required to participate in any aspect of the conference.

- Hotel Reservations: Hotel reservations are to be made directly with the resort. Make sure that you reference the AIMCAL meeting in order to receive the negotiated rate of $152 per night (tax not included). Rooms are limited so we suggest that you make your reservations early.
Cut-off date to receive the AIMCAL room rate is September 18, 2008. After that date, rooms are available at a space and prevailing rate basis. - Proceedings: Extended Abstracts, Papers and Presentations will be published prior to the conference and distributed at registration.

Sunday Evening Keynote Address: Packaging and the Environment: Debunking the Myths Kenneth Marsh, Kenneth S. Marsh & Associates, Ltd. Kenneth S. Marsh, Ph.D., is President/Research Director of Kenneth S. Marsh & Associates, Ltd., and Executive Director of the Woodstock Institute for Science in Service to Humanity (WIS2H). He has over 36 years of industrial experience. He initiated the IFT workshop "Food Packaging, Food Protection and the Environment" in 1991, which resulted in a white paper hand delivered to all members of Congress, represented the US at the "International Symposium on Packaging, Economic Development and the Environment", and was the principal author of the 1991 Scientific Status Summary on this topic. Dr. Marsh has also spoken on packaging and the environment as an IFT Scientific Lecturer and through other forums as well as published in professional and trade press. He co-authored the 2007 Scientific Status Summary, "Food Packaging: Roles, Materials and Environmental Concerns", which presents packaging functions and sustainability.His expertise includes protective packaging and shelf life evaluations for food, pharmaceutical and sensitive products, and he lectures and consults internationally to improve packaging, assure compliance, and promote international trade. He is the co-editor of the Wiley Encyclopedia of Packaging Technology, 2nd edition and served on a National Academy of Sciences, Institute of Medicine subcommittee to develop "High-Energy, Nutrient-Dense Emergency Relief Food Product" (title published by National Academy Press, 2002). Dr. Marsh was the first holder of the Cryovac Chair at Clemson University, the first endowed professorship in packaging science in the U.S. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Packaging professionals (IoPP), a Fellow and the Institute of Food Technologists (IFT), a Lifetime Certified Packaging Professional (CPP), and was awarded IoPP Honorary Life status in 2007. |

Dr. Bernard Henry Memorial 5k Run Join AIMCAL at 6:00AM Tuesday Morning for this fun walk/run in memory of Dr. Bernard Henry. All proceeds will be donated to the Bernard Henry Scholarship Fund.
