It is likely that as heat is applied to the boats that the pressure in the system goes up. This is as the heat load reaches the shields and increases the rate of water outgassing from the surface. When the wire is fed into the boats and evaporation starts the highly reactive aluminium coating will start to getter (pump) the oxygen and water out of the system and hence there will then be a corresponding decrease in the pressure. The pressure should then start to stabilise and there should be only a slight change in pressure over the process lifetime.
